Where there’s smoke, there’s fire, but where there’s a crown emoji, there isn’t necessarily a Prince Harry. Or a Meghan Markle, for that matter. The royal duo will not be appearing on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon next week on the heels of their Netflix documentary’s debut, despite speculation and reports otherwise.
The NBC show’s official Twitter account shared a message Wednesday reading, “Guess who’s making their talk show debut next Thursday? We’ll give you a hint” with emojis of a crown and a suit and tie.

If you haven’t heard, Harry is a (semi-retired) royal, and his wife, Markle, was on a show called Suits. Another piece of trivia: Ties are often worn with suits! Who knew!
Despite a report early Thursday morning from Page Six claiming to have confirmed the duo as the late-night show’s December 15 guests, the Tonight Show’s Twitter update has something to say about that. The stars of Young Royals, a Swedish Netflix series that recently released its second season, will take their seats on the couch. Expect to see Fallon talk it up with Edvin Ryding and Omar Rudberg, who co-star as Prince Wilhelm of Sweden and Simon Eriksson, respectively, classmates and on-and-off love interests at an elite boarding school.

It’s royal drama of another, albeit fictional, flavor.
