It’s been a busy summer for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.
From the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee festivities in London to sunny California polo outings and most recently, the couple’s quick spin around New York City, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been making waves this summer and looking sharp doing so.
Since “reviving” Julia Roberts‘s Pretty Woman polo match style back in May, turning heads at the time in a wide brim black hat and a chic polka dot Celine blouse, Meghan’s stylish summer looks have been on everyone’s minds. One could even argue that the trendsetting duchess is also responsible for the Bermuda short comeback — rocking the high-waisted short trend not once but twice this summer and pairing each look elegantly with leather waist belts and matching pumps.
From California to New York, whether she’s sporting a sophisticated Givenchy skirt, a chic strapless jumpsuit, Bermuda shorts, or comfy sandals, Meghan’s bi-coastal summertime style is something we all want to emulate.
Below, a selection of various pieces that the Duchess has donned so far this summer, so you too can dress the part.
New York City Tour
In one jam-packed day, Meghan showcased three stylish looks as she and her husband hit the Manhattan streets for the first time since November of last year.
On Monday, Meghan and Harry attended events at the United Nations headquarters where the prince served as a speaker at the U.N.’s Nelson Mandela Day observance and paid homage to the former president of South Africa. For the event, the Duchess kept things conservative, wearing an all-black look comprised of a black Givenchy pencil skirt and long sleeve top. Meghan accessorized the monochrome look with her go-to Mulberry Bayswater bag and a slicked-back ponytail.
Later that day, Meghan was spotted leaving lunch with Gloria Steinem at the Crosby Hotel in Soho. The Duchess showed off a wardrobe change for the outing, looking summertime cool in a crisp white blouse tucked into perfectly tailored Dior Bermuda shorts. The mother of Lilibet and Archie accessorized her afternoon ensemble with a brown Ralph Lauren waist belt, her favorite Manolo Blahnik BB suede pumps, and a matching beaded clutch by Cult Gaia.
In the evening, Meghan reunited with her husband for dinner at Robert DeNiro-owned Italian restaurant Locanda Verde in Tribeca, which the Michelin Guide describes as “trendy-yet-refined.” The two were snapped hand-in-hand leaving the restaurant and dressed in dark ensembles. As Harry kept it casual in a navy button and dark jeans, Meghan looked sleek in a black-and-white strapless Gabriela Hearst jumpsuit. While she accessorized the outfit with black sandals and her favorite Shiffon pinky ring, the Duchess added a pop of color with a wine-colored Bottega Veneta pouch clutch.
Fourth of July
Over the Fourth of July weekend, Meghan and Harry took an unexpected trip to Wyoming, where the pair was spotted enjoying holiday festivities, including a local parade in Jackson Hole, with their son Archie. According to The Daily Mail, The Duke and Duchess blended in with parade goers, casually dressed in jean ensembles. With her dark denim, Meghan kept things cool with a white James Perse sheer V-neck tee, woven Brother Vellies flats, and a brown wide-brim hat by Cuyana.
Summertime Polo Matches
Meghan has been snapped at two polo outings this summer, cheering on Harry’s Los Padres team from the sidelines in the most stylish of ways. At the end of May, Meghan turned heads at the Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club in a sophisticated black and white ensemble reminiscent of ’90s-era Pretty Woman-inspired style. For the match, The Bench author donned an elegant polka-dot blouse by Celine with white Khaite Bermuda shorts. She accessorized the look with her favorite Valentino sunglasses, a Khaite leather waist belt, black and mesh Aquazzura pumps, and a black wide-brim hat.
A month later, Meghan returned to the polo sidelines, but in a more casually chic look. The Duchess showed off a summertime version of the Canadiana tuxedo wearing a denim blouse tucked into the now-sold-out Dôen Lane shorts. The mother of two also traded in her beloved pumps for a pair of strappy flat sandals by Emme Parson.
